JBG SMITH has a robust safety and security program which includes a Director of Security, a state-of-the-art Security Operations Center (SOC), and Allied Universal as the security provider across our portfolio.  Technology is an integral part of our safety and security program as all officers are issued mobile devices equipped with software for direct communications, guard tour management and report writing, mass communication, and virtual video calling capabilities for enhanced performance and accountability.  Officers perform a variety of functions and are deployed at each property based upon the unique needs of that property.  All security officers go through the mandated security training per jurisdiction as well as customized training at our properties to meet the evolving security demands in the commercial real estate industry.

Our Security Operations Center (SOC) proactively monitors security related activity and events that could impact our properties to ensure our Property Management teams are updated and can take the appropriate actions to safeguard our properties, if necessary, and keep our tenants well informed.

A major component of our safety and security program is our preparedness and tenant outreach.  JBG SMITH’s tenant outreach offerings includes annual floor warden training, town halls and seminars, webinars, and customized security and preparedness training programs for tenants.  JBG SMITH has also established strong relationships with public safety officials in all jurisdictions where our properties are located further enhancing our safety and security program through those partnerships.
